When booting up a windows xp home standalone system a
error message mentioning "NT Authority System . remote
procedure call, service terminated unexpectantly" the
machine then shuts down.
It's not on a network but is connected to the internet.

The computer is suspected to be infected with the W32.Blaster.Worm, to
remove this worm:
1. Click Start, and then click Run. (The Run dialog box appears.)
2. Type regedit and press OK
3. Navigate to the registry key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Run
4. In the right-pane, delete the value
"windows auto update"="msblast.exe"
5. Exit the Registry Editor and restart your computer.
It is also recommended to install the RPC patch from Microsoft immediately
