How do I disable Messenger from automatically opening? I've already changed
the resistry values, yet when I open Outlook for the first time after
rebooting, the Messenger icon appears on the task line.

Hi Warren,
You can do this from within the "Preferences" options in Windows Messenger.
Remove the checks for "Run Windows Messenger when Windows starts" and "Allow
Windows Messenger to run in the background". Then click OK.

Hi Darrell
Already removed checkmarks, yet it still starts when I open Outlook after
rebooting. Can't find any options on Outlook. Also, somtimes if I go to close
Messenger, message displays saying it can't as other programs are using it,
but only programs open is Outlook and Messenger.
