I'm having the same problem with my XP Pro system here at
home. Seems a program named msblast has port 135 all
jammed up, it shuts down the RPC which causes a reboot.
I've yet to find what msblast is, weather it's legitimate
or not but it appears to be something related to auto
update for windows (which is disabled on my system). So
far my only solution has been to rename the application
located in C:\Windows\system32\msblast.exe, that at least
keeps the process from running and port 135 closed.
