Despite clicking on Change/Remove, I've not been able to remove a program.
Any suggestion anyone? Thanks.

Try reinstalling the program.
Often reininstalling repairs whatever is damaged in the uninstall routines.
Otherwise contact the program manufacturer for uninstall support.

Thanks Jupiter for your response. I cannot do what you've suggested because
that program has been put there without my knowledge and neither do I know
the source. Is there another way around this?

Contact the manufacturer.
See if there are forums or other support sites at the manufacturers site or
possibly a 3rd party site or newsgroup.

I used a program called removeX and it did the trick without any hitch and
it also has the option to restore. Thanks for your suggestion anyway.
