somehow eveything on my display got compressed, even applications, internet
etc.
hoe do i get display back to normal?

If you're saying that your screen resolution needs to be smaller, right-click
on the desktop and choose Properties. Then, choose the Settings tab. Your
current screen resolution is shown in the lower left corner. Move the slider
to the left for a lower screen resolution.

If you have a wheel-mouse, press ctrl while you move your wheel up or down
and you'll notice everything in your Windows appear larger or smaller.

Change the resolution settings to bring everything to normal.
