Guys,

Can someone come to my aid? I use a laptop (HP Compaq nc6000) using ATI
MOBILITY RADEON 9600 Series. With XP SP1, it works well and displays
very well (up to 32-bit), but anytime I apply SP2 and restarts, the
screen is scattered with colours and when I checked the display
settings, it changes the driver to 'none' and displays with 4-bit. I
need to use SP2, but my laptop will not display properly, even up to a
manageable state.

I have used several versions of Windows (old, SP1 and SP2), but no luck
anytime it gets to SP2.

Please, I need help!!

Before upgrading to SP2, Uninstall your existing ATI Driver. Reboot
the PC and just use the Standard VGA driver. When it (Video) gets
re-enumerated don't use an ATI driver. To avoid interactions, it may
be a good idea to run the SP2 update from Safe Mode (F8).
