Problems Installing XP Pro with SP2

I have been trying to do a fresh install. System is Dfi Lanparty ut nf4
sli-dr expert mboard, amd 4400+ cpu, 2 gig ram, xfx 7800gtx pci express video
card, WD 150gig raptor sata HD, benq dvd. I keep getting setup cannot copy
the file ciadmin.dll. If I skip it just goes to another and another. Could
some please help me.

How old is your optical drive?
Is the XP install on CD-R copied media?

Sounds like the optical drive is having a hard time reading the
disk........

Eveything is brand new includeing the winows disc

It gets to 7% the file is cinemst2.sys. That is where the problems start I
skip then gets to cpqdap01.sys, skip to cyycoins.chm, skip to digiras.chm,
skip to dvdplay.exe, skip to esen97.dll, skip then blue screen error IRQL_NOT
_LESS OR EQUAL

Could be that your drive has a fault. If you have any other drives maybe you
could try them as a troubleshooting process?

Thanks Tom, I did try to use a creative dvd drive also. I have a HP CD-R
drive to try also do you think it will make a difference from DVD to CD?

Hmm... probably not to be perfectly honest. Maybe the fault is with the
actual disk instead.

You could try the disk in a working computer, and see if it has any problems
reading it, or if it takes a long time to read it, spins it for longer than
usual, makes any strange noises, etc.

If you try browsing the CD a bit and you encounter any problems then maybe
you have a faulty CD.

And of course you could always check it for marks/scratches...

Bad RAM can also cause this problem.
