After applying the latest Windows XP updates along with the latest Windows
Live OneCare I am unable to use any DVD to Pocket PC software on any of my
machines at all, I had to use a program called SmartRipper 2.41 to rip the
DVD to a VOB file stored on the HD, but to do this I had to first unlock the
DVD security by playing the DVD a few seconds in Cyberlink PowerDVD 6, then I
was able to rip the DVD to a VOB, from there, I used AVS Converter to convert
the VOB to WMV with a profile to playback on my Dell Axim 50v, now the
problem with this is the framerate of original video source is 23.976fps,
when converting to a WMV this is set at 30fps, the problem here is the video
isn't totally in sync with the audio as there are now more video frames.
Anytime I use a program such as Pocket DVD Studio during the preview of DVD
playback is extremely choppy and the slider moves from left to right at
random, if I continue to do a conversion, it takes forever, and when I play
it back it after it's converted it displays the same way as it does during
preview. My point is I can't use Pocket DVD Studio to convert at all nor
other standard conversion utilities designed for that specific purpose.
