Importing files on Movie Maker

Hi
Whenever i try to import a video or audio file into Movie Maker a windo pops
up saying "(filename) could not be imported. Class not registered". Does
anyone know how i can get round this?

MM does not work well with mpeg, you need to use dv-avi or wmv, so get a
converter to change the files to this tp, or use an mpeg editor.
