WMP not installed properly

Whenever I click on WMP it says:

"The file wmp.dll has a version number of 10.0.0.4019 where 10.0.0.3990 was
expected.

Windows Media Player was not installed properly and must be reinstalled."

However, when I go the website to install it, it says that it can not
install it because it has already installed. I've gone to Add/Remove programs
to unistall it, but it's not even listed as a program to unistall. What do I
do?

Just run:
c:\windows\inf\unregmp2.exe /UpdateWMP
to fix this.

what has happened Melissa is, when i try to play a mpg3 movie I get the error
10.0.0.4036 where 10.0.0.4019 was exspected . How do i install that correct
version of windows media player?
