I went to Microsoft.com/security and they say to download
this patch. Has anyone else tried it and does it work?
I am attepting to try it myself now. Cross your fingers
and if anyone knows anything else please email me and let
me know. I can check my email for about three minutes
then I am booted.

I would do it now b/c you might not be able to use your computer before
long. this patch is VERY CRITICAL.
"Go Offline after you download the patch and either print this info or copy
and paste it to word patch"

Thank you I am going to try this. Does it work? Will it
get rid of this virus?

No! Forget the patch for now! Enable your XP firewall and kill the
msblast.exe process using Task Manager on the Processes tab.
Then download a virus cleaner and the patch. See
http://www.microsoft.com/technet/treeview/default.asp?url=/technet/security/virus/alerts/msblaster.asp
Clean the virus and only then install the patch.
If you haven't been infected, then run critical updates and enable the
XP firewall.
