I was experiencing the same problem as everyone else. I
had looked in the registry, the task manager, run a
system scan and the whole ball of wax. This morning I
turned on the firewall and was able to download the
removal from symantec and the patch from microsoft. The
question is, the removal tool showed that I did not have
a virus, and after another full scan, nothing appeared.
Why would this be? The second question I have, is now I
am not able to access any files that are sent to me via
OE. It tells me that OE has denied access to a
potentially dangerous file when I check the properties.
I guess I do have a third question - why can't I now
access the update through my help and support, but I can
get there from the web?
