divx 5.03/ wmp9

Hey, i recently installed divx 5.03 and now anything that uses the divx
codec will have split-second glitches every 10 or so seconds. the screen
just flickers basically. it gets pretty annoying after a while, especially
with longer files. This only occurs with windows media player 9. if I use
'the playa 2.0' the flickering is not there. any ideas on what to do with
WMP 9?

I am not sure about this issue, but I recently read here that the
installation installs spyware. You may want to check on this. I am
not sure if Lavasoft has an update for whatever was installed.
