OUTLOOK EXPRESS STARTING EXTREAMLY SLOW

All- Any help would be appreciated. Running Win Xp with
office. Noticed that Outlook Express opens slowly. It
can take 15 to 25 seconds to open and get mail. Any
reasons? Any performance settings to adjust?

I had a problem with a slow load. My problem was it was trying to load
messenger, and I didn't want it to. I used the suggestion on this website
for the messenger problem -

That website has other suggestions for if OE is running slow too. They say
for 98, but some of them work for XP too. It's worth a look.
