The timeline seems to match up with audio/music graphical display ONLY the
first time the movie is started. If I stop the movie and move the marker on
the timeline, it gets off sych with the audio itself.

I am trying to do the simplest thing - add music to clips of jpgs, and it
appears to be impossible to work up and down the timeline and be able to move
the start of a clip in order to match the music - i.e. make a clip start at a
particular spot in the music - since the timeline refuses to match the audio
track.

What in the world is going on?

thank you for your help.

What software are you using?
What format are the files?
Example: WMM is exceedingly fussy about what file types
it will work with - WMA/WMV or DV-AVI *only*.
If the audio is MP3 or another propriatary format - then thats
the reason you are having probs.
