closing sites

i`m new to internet explorer (IE) and donot know how to
close out websites to return back to my home page.
and also i donot know how to close out IE when i am ready
to get off line.

when i used to have AOL there was always 3 boxes in the
upper right corner that allowed me to minimize,maxamizi
or close a page or website.
how can i perform theese functions with IE ?

Read "help" for the program.

Press the little icon that looks like a Home.

Press the x in the upper right hand corner of IE, or File/Close command.
Note that closing the browser does not close your network connection
(via dialup or other).
