i have a samsung ts-h552u duel layer burner. when i place a duel layer disc
in it shows 0 total size, 0 free space. nothing i have tryed that will make
it work running windows xp home, did a fresh install, updated the firmware
nothing works please help

Have you updated the firmware?
In Device manager:
Identify the exact model,
Also RIGHT click it, select "Properties"
Click the "Details" tab
In drop down menu, scroll and locate: "Device Instance ID"
This is the current firmware version installed.
(Samsung will be listed as "tsst.corp")
Download and Install the updated firmware:
