I asked a question about defragmenting earlier and
someone replied. Thanx. I did scan disk first and I
tried to defrag in safe mode, but there's still this
message on this blue screen, then it restarts. The blue
screen with the message appears and then immediatly the
computer restarts, so i can't see the message. And this
is a relatively new computer...2 months ago. and i ain't
got so much stuff on there. It says I have 88% free
space so that should be enough for defrag (require 15%
freespace) so iono what wrong. thanx

It sounds like what is happening is that Windows is crashing. The only
thing that can cause Windows to crash is a hardware issue or a driver that
isn't "playing well".
Please go to Control Panel/System and click on the Advanced Tab and then on
the Settings button for Startup and Recovery.
You want to make sure that Complete Memory Dump is select and you want to
make sure that Automatically restart is NOT selected. After you have made
sure that your system is configured this way, retry the defrag and when
Windows blue screens, it should hopefully provide some information. What we
are looking for is the STOP code and the driver that is identified as
causing the crash.
