Hi, I have a msi g4 mx440-t agp graphics card connected to a pc chips
810 motherboard running windows xp pro sp2.

Whatever driver I use (apart from standard one) results in following,
after xp has loaded screen goes blank, monitor goes into
standby...sometimes it will just come back on after 10 secs or other
times it will just stay like it.

It sounds like you have your refresh rate (and possibly screen
resolution) set too high for your monitor. Either that or there is a
problem with the video card. You can test the latter by connecting your
computer to a different monitor that you know supports the resolution
you're using.

I tried the graphics card on a different motherboard, but using same
monitor & it worked fine.

I'm not sure if it's a problem with the motherboard, in the motherboard
manual there is a note about it possibly being incompatible with
untested graphics cards. It des have integrated graphics which are
disabled when you insert an agp card in.

Have emailed pcchips tech support, but won't hold my breath for a
reply.

Thanks for reply.
