Do you have a PCI network card installed in your system?
If so, are you using the Windows XP drivers or the drivers
that came with the card or updated drivers from the M/B
manufacturer?
I had the same problem with my system, spent days tracking
it down. Found that the updated network card drivers
supplied by AMDtek were the problem. Un-installed the
device and then re-installed using the Windows XP drivers.
Problem solved.
