Boot Problems

I am using a Dell computer. When my hardware hands off to
the Windows OS (XP Pro)it stops.
A black screen comes up telling me all about my bios,
drives etcetera and then says press del to continue,
which I do and the Windows start up screen comes up and
all is well.

This has been happening now for awhile (three weeks) re
installed the OS but the problem continues to persist.

Dell techs say I need to explain to you guys that the
problem is with the OS because it happens when the
hardware attempts to hand of to Win XP.

See what I mean? Any suggestions? Please Help!
