View Full Version : Windows Movie Maker
Newby from downunder asks;
I have a Panasonic digital movie camera and downloaded the tape into a Movie
Maker.
It will not play on a DVD player TV, OK on computer.
How do I burn it onto a CD/DVD so that I can put play the movie on a DVD
player?
Tried NERO 6.5 which does not recognise the file
Thanks
Aussie John

Fairly much a newbie on Video from Canberra
If you have a Panasonic as I have - a GS35, you will find that they supplied
software with the camera - Panasonic MotionDV STUDIO LE. The actual
executable filename is MotionDVSTUDIO.exe. This uploads video to the PC via
a USB2.0 cable as an .avi file and it will play with this software.
I think it also allows you to create a DVD. I use Ulead S/W supplied with my
DVD drive to do this, but I am fairly sure the Panasonic S/W also does it.
There is a special version of Nero to create DVDs. I don't have this - I
have an earlier version of Nero which only handles CDs.
I have now created 5-6 DVDs which play on a normal DVD player. Although I
also do have one which only plays in the PC. I forget how I mangaed to
bungle this one. ;-))
