I uninstalled some software. I want to install another
verstion of the same software using the same name as
before. The uninstall did not remove the old services from
my XP system, and the new install will not allow me to use
the same name as long as the old services exist.
I cannot remove these unused services using "services"
under "administrative options" in the control panel. I
would like to know how to remove these services.

Whenever uninstalling "some software" fails to uninstall "some services",
it's recommended to do "something". I assume that's specific enough...

Ruth, go here and try Advanced Uninstaller Pro. I think there is a free
30day trial.
