Pop-ups

How do I get these pop-ups from happening? When I was
running Windows 98 I didn't have these. Now, since I am
running Windows XP I have pop-ups all the time. There
have been as many as 20 when I log on. What can be done
to have these stopped?

Most likely you are talking about the "messenger Service" in Windows XP.

You can just enable XP's built in firewall to stop them. -
