MS Win XP does not play wmv anymore

Suddenly I found all my media players (Windows media player , RealPlayer )
unable to play wmv, I hear the sound but no video is displayed.
It was working yesterday and suddenly it can't be played anymore.
I didn't install anything, I have MSI GeForce 128MB and Creative Vibra 128
bit.

You may need to reinstall the Windows Media Codecs. These are available at:
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/forpros/format/codecdownload.aspx

Not a bad idea, but please please do not install the v9 codec pack on top of
v10 - it does bad things. =\
