View Full Version : Virtual memory and very slow machine

My virtual memory runs out, the computer lists a message
stating that it is updating how much memory is being
taken, but I have already adjusted the memory and told
the computer not to change. The computer does anyway.
Not to mention the already slow computer just about stops
in its tracks.

Why on earth would you want to limit the amount of memory that the
computer can use?
There are really only two ways of doing this:
1. Leave the computer shut off. That way it will not be using any
memory.
2. Never run any applications. That way it will only ever be using
the memory needed to run Windows itself.
