Playing DVD's

New Computer with XP Media Center.

When I try to play DVD's it either doesn't play them at all or plays without the sound (no general problem with sound on tyhe PC).

Is it likely to be a problem with the DVD drive itself or do I need to do something else.

Any help appreciated.

What DVD decoding software do you have installed?

What software are you using to actually play the DVD?
