e-mail error

when i try to send an e-mail i always get a response:

Contact the folks who run your mail server.

I'm unable to retrieve any incoming messages.
My mail boxes have been emptied but still unable to
receive any.What is the best way to solve this?

Hi KEP - what (if any) error messages are you getting? Which is the
protocol you are using - POP3, IMAP, HTTP?? And what is the email
software you are using??? If you are using a web based free email
service then the problem might be with the server - so it may not
necesssarily be related to your mailbox being full.
