View Full Version : endless loop when saving in WMM

Hi,

I can't save any movies in WMM2.1.4026.0.
Even a 2 seconds source video results in an endless loop/hang when saving.
Progress bar shows anything between 4% and 16% but the "time remaining"
increases constantly. The target file remains at 6K. No CPU usage, no disk
activity.
This happens on all available save formats and various input formats.

Any ideas?
Thanks.

There is the clue. It's been covered almost on a daily basis,
WMM is exceedingly fussy what file types it will work with.
WMV or DV-AVI are the only two ensured compatibilty.
Majority of Mpeg1 will cause no problem either.
Any other file type - .MOV, real, mpeg2, Divx/Xvid etc
will have to be converted prior to importing into WMM.

I've tried it with WMV as well as other formats of input files. Same problem
on all types. How would input files be converted first, using which tool, to
satisfy WMM's fussiness?
