View Full Version : Windows Explorer Behavior

I would like to use Windows Explorer to provide a Treeview look. When
I select Thumbnails, Tiles, or Icons under the View menu, WE allows you
to place subfolders or items exactly where you want to in sequence
within the folder. However, when you use List or Details ( the views
that I want ) Explorer does not allow you to place sub items whereever
you want.

Any ideas on how to use WE where the items are not sorted using any
criteria under Details view other than by the user placing them in the
sequence he wants within the folder.

Thanks,

Elliot

Not possible with WE. The closest thing would be using a currently unused summary field (title,
subject, author, or category) to enter a value to sort on.
