My XP has started to automatically reboot after being
instructed to shutdown. It won't automatically shutdown
like it used to. Where is the control for reseting the
auto-reboot command? Any help?

Go to Start | Control Panel | System. Click on the Advanced tab,
then in the 'Startup and Recovery area,' click the Settings button.
UNCHECK the box that says 'Automatically restart.'
