How can I keep ms works from accessing my start list? I
have used msconfig to disable it but each time I open it,
I again find it in my start up list. I only want to use
this when I have a need and dont want it running at start
up. Can anyone suggest a solution for this?
Thanks

Right click on the start button, select explore. Find the
startup menu, delete WORKS from the startup menu.

You will still be able to open the program from the program
menu.

Oh dear! You stupid twit, he already stated that he removed it once from =
the System Configuration Utility, so how in the **** you think just =
removing it from the startup list will help, when removing from the =
utility didn't???.

To the OP;

Open works, you should have a task bar, in which you can open tools, =
options, then uncheck the box that say "Start when Windows starts", (I =
am unsure about the exact wording) you then get a prompt (with tricky =
wording), and you need to read what it says about starting again.

To the OP, Ted is a jerk.
To Ted, It keeps starting because it is in the startup menu.

Twit.

You pillocking ****wit! The directions I gave will prevent this from =
happening, and if one uses the "msconfig" utility to remove items from =
starting up, it is same, if not a better method then simply removing it =
from the startup list, you gormless retard!

You obviously don't know your arse from your elbow, when you make such =
statements, when the OP clearly stated their first approach!
