there are a few programs that will allow you to change
bootscreens, BUT you must know what you are doing down to
the T. it involse changeing the single most critacal
system file on your pc. also i have found no way of
getting around the 16 color limate. if you dont use those
colors or add more colors you will just get a black
screen as you load. ntoskrnl.exe

Thanks anyways, i have already replaced the ntoskrnl.exe file and are
using a custom bootscreen, i was just wondering if there was a way to
improve the screen resolution and colors.

You won't be able to get a better resolution or more colors since the video
driver required doesn't load until later in the boot process.
I remember reading that somewhere, so I'm not certain if that's the reason,
but it sounds reasonable.
