I have a Dell Latitude D800 and when docked, the resolution changes from the
current setting down to 1024x768 when a users logs on. This is not the case
if an administrator or the users with administrator privileges logs on. I
have tried to delete the hardware profiles, updated all software and drivers
that pertains to the video card, and have a new video card to install(Dell's
suggestion which I am almost positive won't work). The user doesn't want to
have to change his resolution every time he logs on, so I need a way that I
can set the default resolution when in the dock. When he logs in, the
resolution is correct for a second and then the screen blanks out and the
wrong resolution comes up. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I kind of guessed that, any idea how to fix it?
