I am trying to capture video from an analog VCR via composite video inputs on
my HP Pavillion Media Center PC w/ Hauppauge card. I can see/capture video
just fine, but there is no sound. No mutes are on anywhere I can find (PC
sound good, reltek good, "mute speakers" not checked).

And the audio from the VCR is connected to Line In on the Soundcard? When
you checked that it wasn't set to Mute, did you check that Options,
Properties, Recording... or leave it at Playback?

Having same issue, on a Gateway w/videocapture card. Since the TV tunercard
has composite audio in, intuitively, I plugged the VCR audio out into it. Are
you saying WinMovieMaker will not pick up this audio? If I run the audio into
the soundcard, will I lose the option of mixing 2 audiotracks (videosound +
voiceover or thememusic), which WMM controls with a slider bar?
