View Full Version : USB Port

I have a Pentium III processor, plenty of RAM and hard
drive and am rumming Windows XP Pro. I have a Kensington
Trackball connected to the system through a USB port.
When I turn the computer on, the USB port is not active.
I can activate it by unplugging the trackball after the
computer is booted up and then plugging it back in. Then
it works fine. If I restart the computer, the port is
still active, but if I turn it off and do a cold start, I
must unplug the trackball again and reconnect it after
boot up to make the port active. I wonder why?

Thanks for the help. Sounds like one of those unsolved
mysteries.
