Downloading from JVC GR-D270 mini-dv camcorder

Does anybody have any information on how to do this via USB? Cannot find

You need to use firewire if this is a digital camcorder.

You can not do this via USB (download video, only pictures). I have the
exact same camera and I just recently bought the DV firewire cable
(yesterday). Store price is around $15-$20, but you can find them on the net
for around $5. You also need a firewire port on your computer. USB only
works for pictures. The firewire is great, and once you plug it in, a wizard
will pop up asking you what you want to do (capture video, record video from
dv camera, etc.). I highly recommend getting one today, you won't regret it.
