What are essential startup programs

I have over 20 programs in the startup menu, and my
Norton Antivirus says that this is interfering with it.
Can anyone tell me what programs MUST stay in startup (I
don't know what any of them are, like "synTPLpr")

you cant disable Windows XP must have programs (Unless you disable the
service) to find out what you need goto www.google.com and type the name of
the .exe in. you will then know what program it is giving you a better idea
if you need it or not. if you still dont know contact the maker of that
program.
