explorer run time errors

I update via ms update web site often - I am up to date on
all fixes / drivers and service packs.

Lately I have been getting runtime error whenever I delete
a file using windows explorer. Any other programs continue
to run but the screen goes blank (no icons) and refreshes
while closing win explorer.

I also use ACDsee, which used to work fine, but now when I
rename a file the same result happens as with delete using
win explorer.

Any fix or insight would be appreciated
