View Full Version : WINDOWS UPDATES - VERIFYING

After updating to Windows XP from ME, in June of this
year, I believe I have installed all of the updates and
service packs from Microsoft.

When checking the list of updates, "Successfully"
installed, I find a host of updates including SP1, Media
Player 9, and numerous security updates and recommended
updates but I cannot find these listed in the add/remove
programs file.

How do I guarantee that these updates have been
installed? Or, is this something I shouldn't worry about?

Nothing to worry about. Some will not be in the Add/Remove Programs Applet.

The list is in the registry, but a much easier way to view what Hotfixes
have been installed is to use the free Belarc Advisor. Small program and
easy to run. Take a look here:
