cd rom autorun

I can`t get the menu for choosing what you want to do when
i inset cd into drive.
i selected the take no action and selected the always take
this action box.........stupid boy
i havt tried the properties autorun but this did not work.
i have also tryed the regestry and changed the value from
one to zero and back to one this still did not work .
please help me as am fedup looking for the autorun icon on
the cd`s
