can not get defrag or disk clean up to start when using
task scheduler. I would like to schedule it and have it
run on its own like windows 98 maintenance wizard.

Scheduled Tasks will not run if you have recently changed your user name or
if you are using a blank password. make sure your account has a password
associated with it.
