Hi Keith,
I had trouble with that too.
If you can still boot to windows xp normally, you need to
disable both your firewall protection and your antivirus.
Restart the computer and then try to remove the worm.
Make sure you disconnect from the internet first (remove
phone line from jack in dsl). Re-enable or reinstall (I
had to reinstall) your firewall and antivirus software
before you reconnect to the internet.
I had to do this from within safemode, I could not boot
normally. If this is the same for your computer, it is a
bit more complicated, you can't just go to the program
and disable it. If this is your case, write me back and
I will send you the instructions for safe mode.
