I have a sony vaio laptop and it has started locking up.
The screen freezes and the only way out is to shut it
down. Have you made any microsoft patch updates recently?
This problem is new for me. (last three weeks.) I have
512MB of RAM and ran a full virus scan. The only change I
can think of is I did a full MS patch update
