How to rip a vcd

How could i rip a Video CD which is not recognised by a CD Drive?

Not recognized... do you mean the whole CD is not recognized or the
application you are using to play the VCD does not recognize that there is a
VCD file on it?

If the whole CD is not recognized, they it may indicate the files are
corrupted or the initial burn was bad.

Can you actually see the file(s) on the CD with Windows Explorer?

also.but it contails some video files which r played on a cd/dvd player......

> yes, the optical drive i.e.,cd drive can read all other cd's except this cd.....i also asked the one who gave me that cd,he told that it contains the video files which can be opened only on cd/dvd players....but not on the system.......the problem is i have no cd/dvd player and hence i want to rip that cd to play it on my system but it is not at all recognised by the cd driveof my system......not only in mine but also in many cd drives of other systems too..........i would like anyone of u to help me out solving this problem.......i hope u cud solve my problem.......the above wriiten is all about my problem and nothing else.....thanx for replying "Cari (MS-MVP)".........
