I'm having a strange problem with XP Pro. After recieving
a blue screen I have been unable to get back into the OS,
regular or safe mode. It loads up to the blue welcome
screen where it would normally display my users accounts
to select, but they never show up. All I get is the
little windows xp logo against the blue background. It
just sits there, so it seems like there is some sort of
corruption with the user accounts???

It runs chkdsk everytime, and I've also gotten into the
console to run it, the drive seems fine. Anyone else ever
run into this problem or have any ideas? Should I just
run the repair installation option on the XP cd?

Thanks for your help,
Mike

I tried to do so last night, once it restarts, I receive
a blue screen with a stop error 0x07B. I haven't
replaced any hardware or changed drivers recently, so I
am not sure what caused this.
I am running a duel boot with 98, and my XP OS is not on
the C drive, it is on a diff. drive. That drive is
connected to my RAID controller on-board, which XP sees
as a SCSI adapter, could this be causing the problem on
restart?
