my last post got lost, so here goes. My new laptop has a s-video TV out port.
Does this mean that if I connect to a TV that I can only put the computer
onto the TV but not WATCH Tv on the computer? I've read posts where there are
answers but don't understand them. I have a PC card slot and an express card
slot, so is there something I can plug in here that will allow tV watching?
Toshiba 105 laptop, says already can watch TV, but setting up media Center it
says I either have no tuner or need updated driver. Is this because the
cables need to be plugged in before setting up the media stuff? I don't even
know what a pc card is :(. Oh help.....?

S-Video OUT is OUT ONLY - ie FROM the notebook TO the TV or VCR or other
device.

If you want to watch tv ON the notebook, you'll need a TV Tuner card... If
you can tell us exactly which Toshiba A105 notebook you have, I can
reference the specs and find out if you do indeed have a TV Tuner function
on it...
