My son was working on the computer this afternoon and we
noticed that copies of icons were developing on the
Desktop. It looks like as fast as I deleted them off
more were being developed. I wondered if this is a
virus. Then I tried to "click" on the Desktop Icon in
Quick Launch and it had changed so I can't access the
Desktop from there.

What are my options?

sometimes when you're working with a file that is located in the desktop,
the program creates temporary files there, along with the original one. if
this is not the case then you should check for virus
