Been using XP for some little while. Yesterday the close button (the big X)
in Explorer fell down onto the system tray. I can only close with ALT + F4.
This only happens in Explorer and not every time. If I tilt the monitor back
45 degrees things stay pretty much in place. My brother says I need bit
glue, but I think he is full of it. My belief is that this is, more than
likely, an under-reported flaw in WinXP and deterioration of the 32 bit
handles in the threads, for which reason I believe a needle would be more
productive a cure than the so called bit glue suggested by my hapless
relative.
Also, the cards in the solitaire game are starting to fray on the bottoms,
evidently a side-effect of multiple trips off the top of the screen when I
win the game. Sometimes they don't bounce along as they used to but either
fall or just disappear after leaping off the stacks on a win. On Monday
afternoon I found I am missing the 6 of spades. I have not had any virus on
my machine. The MS-Blaster did not get to any of my computers.
Any help appreciated.
