Hello,

I was trying to update my device driver for a monitor on
a WIN xp-driven system, Athlon 2200+ with 512Meg RAM on
333FSB with Nvidia GFORCE 4. Unable to access Nvidia
control panel before problem occurred and unable to
assign device to driver, I inadvertently disbled the VGA
Default monitor driver. I am now unable to view the
screen to re-enable driver at all. No access to system
restore, PNP will not work so no monitor will work.
Cannot view screen via SAFE Mode in any variation (I
suspect the computer may have been in some sort of SAFE
mode before this last problem occurred.

Does Anyone have any ideas at all? I would hate to have
to clean boot the system on what is essentially a new
computer.

Thanks,

Peter

You wouldn't happen to have 2 video cards? Onboard video maybe? It could be
that you made the other video the default.

Can you start in VGA mode?

If all else fails, you could try a repair install.
